संस्कृति – The Semi Folk Dance Competition held on 01/12/2023 at seminar hall was a vibrant and culturally rich event, showcasing the diversity and traditional elements of folk dances. The competition was organized by Cultural Club, Department of Education, aiming to provide a platform for participants to celebrate and express their cultural heritage through dance.

Several teams from different clubs enthusiastically participated in the competition. Each team brought forth a unique blend of traditional folk elements and contemporary dance styles, adding a distinctive flavor to the overall event.The competition featured a wide variety of folk dances from various regions, including  Bhangra (Punjab), Garba (Gujarat), Ghoomar (Rajasthan) etc.

The judges of the competition were Miss Aanchal Mishra and Mrs. Neetu Gupta. The judgment criteria included theme, choreography, synchronization, costume, and overall presentation. The judges appreciated the teams' efforts in preserving and promoting their cultural traditions. Vice Principal Dr. Padma Gouri congratulated the Education Department and participants on the success of the competition.

The winners of the competition were announced by the Vice Principal Dr. Padma Gouri.

After a tough competition, the following teams were declared winners:

  1. Semester I - First Place: Cultural Club
  2. Semester I - Second Place: Career wings Club
  3. Semester III - First Place: Innovative Club
  4. Semester III -Second Place: Literary Club

At the end of the competition, a glimpse of Incredible India was presented by the students of Cultural Club. The Semi Folk Dance Competition was not just a competition but a celebration of India's rich cultural tapestry. It succeeded in bringing together participants and spectators in a shared appreciation for the diversity and beauty of our folk traditions. The event concluded on a high note with a cultural exchange, fostering a sense of unity and pride in our collective heritage. Starnit Tirkey and Roshni Patel, B.Ed Sem III (members of Cultural Club) expressed gratitude to all participants, and attendees for making the event a grand success and for contributing to the promotion and preservation of India's folk dances. On this occasion, Head of Education Department, Dr. R. Gayatri Iyenger, Teachers and a large number of students were present in the event .
